Newly-promoted Young Apostles dished out a promising performance on late Sunday afternoon after coming from behind to beat Aduana Stars 3-2 at the Wenchi Stadium.

Apostles, the Ghana Premier League's newbies, stole the show once again as they dazzled to the amazement of their home fans.

The Fire Boys made the worst possible start as they fell behind after 28 minutes when Mohammed Moftaw notched the opener for the hosts.

Apostles fast start caused an Aduana side surprisingly lacking composure several problems in the early exchanges, but the visitors eventually stamped their authority on proceedings and turned the contest on its head just before recess.

Aduana restored parity in the 28th minute, before they delicately dink-in their second in the 35th minute.

A somewhat muted start to the second half was largely dominated by Asare Bediako’s men who came close to pulling the equaliser. But their efforts were denied by the face of the post.

However, 30 minutes to full-time, Apostles scored to make it 2-2 before dragging a decent effort in the 80th minute to force the game to end 3-2.

Apostles have now moved to the 8th with 5 points of the Premier League table after four matches, while Yaw Acheampong’s Aduana have slipped to 17th place with 2 points after suffering their second defeat of the season.
