Samartex stole all three points with a dramatic 76th-minute winner to secure a 1-0 triumph over a wasteful 10-man Aduana Stars on Sunday afternoon, with the hosts falling to a fifth successive Ghana Premier League defeat.

After twice recording two straight draws in their outing against Berekum Chelsea and Accra Lions, Aduana were once again the architects of their own downfall, with goalkeeper Masawudu Nusah being shown a red card, which culminated with a dreadful sequence of events that handed Timber Giants the victory.

Samartex were largely in control and looked increasingly likely to score more following the opener, but they unfortunately failed to pull themselves up with another goal, leaving their hosts to go on an expedition in search for an equalizer, which never happened.

Despite Aduana often looking the more likely side to snatch the equalizer and score the winner as the game progressed, but it was Samartex that stole all three points with Solomon Adjei - fondly called Mputu Ball Wura’s 76th-minute winner sending the away fans into a frenzy, a potentially vital moment in this year's campaign.

The result means Samartex are 8th in the table with 21 points, while Aduana worryingly fall to yet another defeat, leaving them 12th in the standings with just seventeen points.
