Bechem United put Heart of Lions to the sword with a commanding 3-0 victory at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon, emphatically ending their four-game winning streak in the Ghana Premier League.
Bechem United were in control from the outset and were finally rewarded for their dominance when Darlvin Yeboah, having missed a huge opportunity just moments prior, redeemed himself with a composed finish from a brilliantly executed angle, marking their sixth winning streak.
The Hunters flew out of the blocks at the death of the first half, with Emmanuel Abban doubling the lead after another superbly worked set-piece, followed just 27 minutes later when Emmanuel Abban nodded home to complete his brace, all but confirming the three points.
Kwaku Danso’s men nearly rubbed another salt in Heart of Lions wounds with a fourth, which would have been a goal that would have epitomized the Lions’ shambolic defending of the day.
The crushing 3-0 victory sees Bechem United climb into 4th in the table with 29 points, now just one beneath leaders - Heart of Lions who are still manning the top spot with 30 points.
