Samartex recorded a 1-1 draw with Nations FC in Sunday’s pulsating Premier League contest in Samreboi, with Solomon Adjei and Emmanuel Annor scoring their respective goals in the first half.

The result has moved the Timber Giants into ninth spot in the Premier League table, now boasting eighteen points from their opening 15 matches of the campaign, while Nations FC have moved to 4th, having collected 26 points from their first 15 games.

Solomon Adjei hit his goal off in the early stages of the contest, as Samartex made the breakthrough in the twenty-eight minute, with Adjei working his way into the Nations FC box before notching with a brilliant effort.

Nations FC were only behind for fifteen minutes, though, with forward Emmanuel Annor firing into the back of the net from close range to spark jubilant scenes in the away end at the Nsenkyire Stadium.

Samartex will be bidding to rebound in the Premier League when they head to Aduana Stars next Sunday, before facing Hearts of Oak in matchday 17 on December 17. The Timber Giants have gone 5 games without a win - as they have lost four straight matches and drawn one.

Nations FC, meanwhile, will be aiming to bounce back from the disappointing result when they host Basake Holy Stars in the league on Friday, December 3, before traveling to Heart of Lions in matchday 17 contest on December 17.
