Vision FC took a major step in their survival fight with an impressive 2-0 triumph over league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema.

The victory lifts Vision four points clear of the relegation zone, while Gold Stars, though still top, missed a golden opportunity to stretch their advantage, with title rivals like Asante Kotoko closing in as the season nears its climax.

Eager to snap a four-match winless streak, Vision produced a spirited and dominant display. Defender Edward Agyemang opened the scoring in the 55th minute, before Edmond Asante secured the points with a clinical strike four minutes from time.

Vision controlled much of the contest, enjoying superior possession, creating more clear chances, and registering the most shots on target, leaving the visitors struggling to find their rhythm in an unusually one-sided encounter.

Gold Stars must now regroup ahead of their home fixture against Karela United, while Vision FC face a tough trip to Medeama as they continue their battle for top-flight survival.
