A Young Apostles side meaning business triumphed in the fourth Premier League game of 2025 as Abdul Bashiru's men went on the warpath once the first half began, storming into a two-goal advantage to defeat Nations FC 2-1 at the Obuasi Len Clay.
Visiting a ground where they had not won nor defeated without conceding a single goal, Nations FC’s home history counted for nought late doors, as the hosts struck in the 60th minute to reduce the deficit.
However, the visitors' lead was nearly wiped out by the in-form Faisal Charwetey just shy of the dying-hour mark.
Young Apostles quickfire double sucked the life out of a Nations FC side who quickly ran out of ideas, and the visitors experienced a largely stress-free end to the match en route to a second straight win in the Ghanaian top flight.
Abdul Bashiru’s side have now leapfrogged to the 10th position in the Premier League table, albeit eight points behind Nations FC, as they are now 5th in the standings, two points off the top half after their second straight loss in five top-flight games.
