Emmanuel Kyei scored the only goal of the match as Young Apostles recorded a 1-0 victory over Nsoatreman in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League contest at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
The result has moved Abdul Bashiru’s side into 11th spot in the Premier League table, now three points ahead of Nsoatreman, while Nsoatreman drop down in 14th spot on 18 points.
Apostles made the breakthrough in the 56th minute of the contest, with Emmanuel Kyei nipping into the back of the net, and the hosts were full value for the lead due to their strong start as the score proved to be just 1-0 at the interval.
It was far from a convincing performance from a Young Apostles side that struggled in the final third of the field, but Nsoatreman failed to register a shot on target, with the visitors not doing anywhere near enough to deserve something for their efforts.
