Aboubakar Ouattara’s CAF Champions League hopefuls Hearts of Oak were held to a 0-0 draw away from home by Basake Holy Stars on Sunday afternoon at the AAK II Sports Arena in the Premier League.
The hosts produced few opportunities of note and instead had to weather their visitors' onslaught in the second half, facing nine shots in the second 45 minutes.
The Hearts of Oak' draw means that Holy Stars slipped to 10th spot with 23 points, while Hearts of Oak also drop from fifth to sixth place with 30 points, and are only four points beneath 1st-placed Asante Kotoko.
Holy Stars will not be too disappointed with the draw considering they still played well, producing 5 shots and producing 1.2 xG, below the figure Hearts of Oak managed.
The Phobians are still in contention for African football and are still above the likes of Samartex, Medeama and Aduana.
