Medeama hosted rejuvenated Dreams FC in the Premier League on Friday night as Still Believe visited the TnA Stadium.
The Yellow and Mauves enter this weekend's duel off the back of an heartbreaking away defeat to Hearts of Oak, with Aboubakar Ouatarra's outfit casting aside Ibrahim Tanko's Medeama 1-0 on Sunday.
Match Preview
Dreams FC, meanwhile, won 2-0 at home over Bibiani Gold Stars, having enjoyed good results in the top flight in recent weeks. Abdul Razak Salifu and Izdeen Mohammed's first-half goals won the match for the Still Believes.
Dreams FC have enjoyed plenty of success in this fixture since 2016, having won six times on the bounce, recording one draw in the fourteen matches they've faced each other. Medeama, on the other hand, have managed just five wins, and are one of many teams poised to make a push for any of the Caf inter-club competitions spots down the stretch.
Medeama are two places above their upcoming opponents in seventh, but Dreams FC will move above them on points with Karim Zito's side should they complete the double over the Yellow and Mauve on Friday evening.
Medeama possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Jabal (GK); Sulemana (C), Abdulai, Appiah, Dzakpasu, Mamudu, Nkrumah, Owusu E, Owusu P, Teye, Yussif
Dreams FC possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Aseako (GK), Ahiable, Asante, Aziz, Bartels, Esso (C), Guede, Isaac Y, Kofi M, Izdeen, Salifu
We say: Medeama 1 - 3 Dreams FC
Just eight points separate Medeama from the top of the summit in the Premier League, and these two teams are well in the mix.
Dreams FC head into the contest with momentum, and Abdul Razak Salifu's return to form is a timely boost for the Still Believes after the 18-year-old started 2025 on a rather quiet note, mostly a bench warmer. The young forward has a huge role to play down the stretch if Dreams FC will be a surprise package at the end of the season.
The visitors are ever so dynamic in attack, and it's hard to envisage this makeshift Medeama defence coping in what's poised to be a high-octane affair.
The hosts are likely to cause problems of their own going forward, but Dreams FC should outscore their opponents on Friday, April 11, with Kickoff scheduled at 18:00 GMT.
