Hearts of Oak have announced that goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has committed his future with them hoping to help the club win more titles in subsequent years.
The 32-year-old joined the Phobians after a great spell with Great Olympics and has made an instant impact since joining the giants and his heroics during preseason earned him the club's captain armband.
His consistent outstanding performances has been recognized after being invited to the Black Stars and had the opportunity to debut against Chad including another full time action against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
He's kept 13 clean sheets in 20 league matches so far and had started attracting interests from North African clubs like Algeria's CR Belouizdad and Moroccan giants Raja Athletic Club.
Amid these interests, Hearts of Oak have acted swiftly to extend the contract of the stalwart shot-stopper who has now been tied down for two more campaigns after the ongoing one.
Official club statement on social media reads;
"PHOBIA. The Board and Management of Accra Hearts of Oak are happy to announce that Black stars goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare has extended his contract with Ghana's biggest Club. Till ====>>>2027"
He will definitely make the starting berth again this weekend against Vision FC in round 27 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, April 13.
