Under the watchful eye of head coach Karim Zito, Dreams FC will endeavour to return to winning ways when they travel to the Nana Amoah Koronmansa Park to face Nsoatreman in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Amanaso and the Still Believe meet for the first time since March this year when Dreams traveled to Nsoatre to beat their hosts 2-0 in match-week 20 fixture in the top flight.
Match Preview
Statistically both Nsoatreman and Dreams are yet to make a name for themselves as one of this season's Premier League entertainers, as they limp around - failing to make the net of their opponents rippled with a huge goal difference.
The goals for Amanaso have dried up this season. With three wins, four draws and five defeats on the board after 12 matches, few will be surprised to see Nsoatreman sitting 11th in the Premier League table, two points clear of the relegation zone and only two points ahead of an out-of-form Dreams FC side in fifteenth place.
This season Dreams FC have accumulated 11 points from their opening 12 fixtures, winning two, drawing five and losing five.
The Still Believe were condemned to their fifth league loss in their last match prior to the league being placed on hold due to the 2024 General Elections when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Karela United at the Tuba AstroTurf, a defeat that many thought will be ultimately be the final nail in the coffin for head coach Karim Zito, who - to the surprise of some - hasn’t been relieved of his duties as the team keep gasping for ‘victory breaths’ in the league.
It is understood that there hasn’t been a decision to sack Zito, who leaves Dreams sitting 15th in the top-flight standings and with just a goal difference giving them a point clear of the relegation zone, have not been taken although there are increased concerns internally over Premier League safety and the team's performances in recent weeks, with a total of 8 goals conceded in the twelve matches they’ve starred in this campaign.
Nsoatreman possible starting lineup:
Ferdinand (GK), Rahman, Agyemang, Amoo, Anokye, Diyou, Fuseini (C), Issaka, Shaibu, Tsivanyo, Yeboah
Dreams possible starting lineup:
Aseako (GK); Adjei, Ahiable, Aziz, Boah, Boateng, Danso, Esso (C), Guede, Owusu C, Owusu L
We say: Nsoatreman 2-1 Dreams FC
While Nsoatreman’s home form has been quite good, they have conceded 4 goals across their opening twelve league fixtures at the Nana Amoah Koronmansa Park, where they will next face a Dreams FC side who are in dire need of points.
Dreams FC’s recent record against Nsoatreman bodes well for Saturday's contest, but we are backing the Amanaso to put a sting in the tail of the Still Believe for the second time as they’ve only won once, managed one draw and lost twice in the four meetings against Dreams.
