Asante Kotoko are aiming to topple FC Samartex on Saturday afternoon when they visit the Nsenkyire Sports Arena for the Matchday 24 fixture.

The Porcupine Warriors are rocking the same points with Premier League title rivals Bibiani Gold Stars, but will be tested by the red-hot Timber Giants this weekend.

Christopher Ennin's men are unbeaten in their last six matches in the top-flight and have scored four in victories over Nsoatreman and Aduana Stars in those matches.

Match Preview

Asante Kotoko are in sharp form themselves despite the midweek win over Sekondi Eleven Wise in the FA Cup. The Porcupines assembled their perfect squad after fielding a much-changed lineup in the Kumasi during their matchday 23 win against Legon Cities, which they still managed to top the league phase standings.

With Gold Stars playing away against Aduana Stars on Sunday afternoon, Kotoko will be aspiring to deliver a psychological blow to their competitors on Saturday by beating one of the division's most ruthless sides at their Lion's den grounds in Samreboi.

Samartex possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):

Baah (GK) (C); Acquah, Adabo, Afful, Agbeaimah, Adjei, Ephson, Mamah, Mensah, Sarpong, Sefah

Asante Kotoko possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):

Camara (G), Ablorh, Amdu, L. Amoah, Baba, Blay (C), Saaka, Glban, Kote, Kye-Baffour, Ntim

We say: Samartex 1 - 3 Kotoko

Kotoko's superstars have not earned a well-deserved rest midweek and that will spell trouble for Samartex, despite them running high on energy given their current work rate of their new coach Ennin. Regardless, Ennin's side will play at full tilt on Saturday as they attempt to smother the league leaders.

The Timber Giants' attackers work rate suggests they will not cause Kotoko issues and the Porcupines may have one eye on their upcoming FA Cup quarter-final, where they must beat Tema based Division One side True Democracy.

However, Kotoko's refreshed XI should have enough firepower to overcome the Timber Giants in what promises to be a nail-biting thriller.
