Hearts of Oak will welcome Basake Holy Stars to the University of Ghana Stadium in GPL match-week 25.

The two sides have met three times previously, with both teams recording one win each while the other match ended in a draw.

Their most recent meeting in November 2025 ended 2-1 in favour of Hearts of Oak away from home in the first fixture of the ongoing campaign.

MATCH PREVIEW

Hearts of Oak come into this match winless in their last two games and suffered a painful 2-1 defeat to Bibiani GoldStars in their most recent outing.

Henry Kweku Boateng’s second equalizer cancelled out Samuel Acheampong’s early lead but wasn’t enough as Augustine Boakye headed in late to restore the Miners’ lead and subsequently the winner.

The Phobians currently sit third on the league table with 41 points, five points behind the league leaders Medeama SC as they continue their push for the title.

On the other hand, Basake Holy Stars arrive in good form after winning their last two matches, beating Swedru All Blacks and Heart of Lions with 1-0 scorelines in both games.

Prince Tweneboah’s 25th minute goal was enough for the Green-Blacks to emerge victors over the Giant Killers who finished the game with ten men following Seedorf Asante’s 11th minute red card.

Holy Stars currently occupy 10th position on the league table with 42 points heading into this fixture.

Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side has been boosted by the return of George Paaku, who is back in the squad after missing their last two matches due to illness.
