Ten-man Hearts of Oak were held to a pulsating 0-0 draw by Basake Holy Stars in their match-week 25 encounter of the Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The Phobians endured a frustrating afternoon as they struggled to impose themselves on the game despite creating a few opportunities and failed to make a meaningful impact in the final third.
The game took another turn in the 65th minute when Hearts defender Kelvin Osei Asibey was shown a red card, forcing the home side to play the remainder of the match with ten men.
Basake Holy Stars also had their moments in the game and looked threatening going forward on a few occasions.
However, their biggest strength was at the back as they remained organised and defended resolutely to keep the hosts at bay.
The result means Hearts of Oak remain third on the league table with 42 points, while Basake Holy Stars drop to 11th position with 33 points after the stalemate.
The Rainbow Club will now turn their attention to their next league fixture away to Heart of Lions, while Holy Stars will return home to face Young Apostles in the next round of matches
