Hohoe United welcome their regional rivals Heart of Lions in a very crunchy and herculean clash to open matchday 17 of the Ghana Premier League.
Both teams will be heading into the game like wounded lions on the back of their recent appalling losing streaks and will really play their hearts out for the three points at stake

Hohoe United haven’t won a game since defeating giants Asante Kotoko in a very astonishing fashion to extend their then unbeaten run to three with two victories.
The ‘Muje Gabah’ lads lost against Berekum Chelsea and champions Bibiani GoldStars at home afterwards and looked so determined to return on winning path but all amounted to nothing after yet another 2-0 away loss at Basake Holy Stars.
On the opposition end, Heart of Lions are now winless since mid-November and are currently on a six-game winless run with four defeats and two draws within this period.
The Giant Killers once again had their losing run extended to four after yet another painful 0-1 home loss to Medeama SC in the last round of matches.
Despite conceding in as early as twenty minutes into the game courtesy Kingsley Braye, the Lions offered all they could but still could not get back on level.
While Heart of Lions have dropped from the title race to the eighth position with 23 points, Hohoe United have now dropped into the danger zone with just 17 points after almost the first round of the season.
