Aduana Stars secured a narrow but crucial 1-0 win over Nations FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday, September 21, 2025, thanks to a late strike from substitute Hensen Amponsah.

The match was tightly contested, with both sides cancelling each other out in a goalless first half. Aduana, still searching for their first goal and win of the campaign, pressed harder after the break but struggled to find a breakthrough against a disciplined Nations FC defense.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 86th minute, when Amponsah came off the bench to slot home the Fire Boys’ first goal of the season, sparking wild celebrations among the home supporters.

Nations FC will feel disappointed not to have left Dormaa with a point after a strong showing, but Aduana’s late winner handed them a much-needed boost following their opening-day defeat to Karela United.

The victory lifts Aduana’s confidence as they prepare to host Swedru All Blacks in their next fixture, while Nations FC will aim to bounce back when they welcome FC Samartex.
