Aduana Stars reclaimed top spot in the Ghana Premier League with an impressive 3–1 win over Berekum Chelsea on Matchday 11, extending their unbeaten run to six games.

Goals from Samuel Owusu Ansah, Hensen Amponsah, and Emmanuel Marfo ensured a dominant outing for the Fire Boys, who looked sharp and purposeful throughout the derby at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.

Aduana made a blistering start, opening the scoring in the 6th minute when Owusu Ansah finished with precision to give the hosts an early advantage. Chelsea responded with a strong spell and nearly equalised, but goalkeeper Osei Prince produced a fine save to keep Aduana ahead.

Despite controlling large portions of the first half, Aduana were unable to double their lead, with Marfo missing the best chance of the period. Chelsea also threatened on the break, keeping the game finely balanced.

Owusu Ansah was substituted after halftime, with uncertainty over whether he had picked up a knock.

Aduana doubled their advantage shortly after the restart through Hensen Amponsah, who struck confidently—but their celebrations were short-lived as Chelsea hit back immediately. Abubakari Seidu capped off a sweeping move to reduce the deficit and give the visitors hope.

The hosts regained control and continued to push forward, going close from a set piece with ten minutes remaining. Their persistence paid off in the 83rd minute when Emmanuel Marfo, who had earlier missed two clear chances, made amends with a well-taken strike to seal the victory.

The result sends Aduana FC back to the top of the table, capitalising on Medeama’s dropped points against Bechem United on Saturday.
