Prince Anane’s 80th minute goal was enough to hand Berekum Chelsea a narrow 1-0 win over Hohoe United in matchday 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Bibires made a very explosive start to the game and definitely came in with an early goal plan but the resolute backline of Hohoe were able to contain the early pressure to keep them in the game.
The ‘Muje Gabah’ lads gradually settled down in the game but got tested on several occasions but stayed in and endured thanks to goalkeeper Kwaku Musah
Hohoe United had two of their players; Kwaku Musah and Mohammed Alkassim went down before half time but wasn’t too serious as they all got back to their feet to continue the game.
In the second half, both teams bounced back stronger and took the take at each other all in search of the opening goal.
Berekum Chelsea finally opened the scoring account in the 80th minute through to send the entire Golden City Park in raptures.
Berekum Chelsea have finally halted their three game unbeaten run but still remain in the 16th position with 15 points and will travel next to Dreams FC
Hohoe United however, are occupying the 11th spot with 17 points and will host champions Bibiani GoldStars in the next round of matches.
