Nations FC delivered one of their most assured performances of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign as a first-half brace from the electric Faisal Charwetey drove them to a composed 2–0 victory over Bibiani Goldstars at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The win, which was carved out with authority, discipline, and a welcome dose of attacking sharpness lifts Nations FC to 11th on the table with 13 points, while Goldstars slip to fifth on 19 points after a frustrating afternoon in Abrankese.
Nations FC wasted no time asserting their intent, and the breakthrough arrived in just seven minutes. A clever passage of play saw forward Faisal Charwetey dart into space before sweeping home the opener with conviction, sending the home crowd into early celebration.
Goldstars attempted to settle, sharing possession evenly as both sides closed the half with 50% possession apiece, but Nations FC looked the more purposeful whenever they sprang forward.
In the 40th minute, Charwetey struck again - this time showcasing clinical instinct. Pouncing on a loose defensive structure, he sliced through the lines and rifled in the second, handing Nations FC a deserved 2–0 lead at halftime. It proved sweet, as the forward’s brace ultimately stood as the only goals of the match.
