Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko remained composed after his side were held to a 0–0 draw by Bechem United at Tarkwa, acknowledging both the positives and missed opportunities from the match.
The Mauve and Yellow dominated possession for long stretches and created multiple chances, but were unable to convert any into a goal, leaving supporters frustrated as the game ended in a stalemate.
Tanko praised Bechem United for their tactical discipline, noting that the visitors came prepared to defend deep and exploit counter-attacking opportunities.
“We had most of the ball, but I think the last bite was not there. Bechem came with a plan—they played with all men behind the ball and countered well. We lacked patience in finishing our build-up, but they did very well, and one point is better than none,” Tanko said after the game.
Medeama retain top spot in the Ghana Premier League with 22 points, but the title race is tightening as chasing sides continue to close the gap.
