Ahmed Fathy, Swedru All Blacks coach, has come under criticisms recently but the vital away win at Dreams FC this weekend is definitely going to calm things as he and his players will look to continue with the same momentum going forward.
The ‘Ozii Ozaa’ outfit nearly gave away a goal-lead but fought back again with some sumptuous goals to pull the fight back with a precious 2-3 win over the Still Believers.
Rudolf Mensah struck first to put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute but it didn’t take much for Suraj Seidu just four minutes to level the score.
The homesters scored again in the 39th minute courtesy Yaovi Guede to lead for the first time in the game but couldn’t hold on till half-time with Abdul Aziz Adam scoring in the closing minutes to mark a 2-2 scoreline at half-time.
Back from recess, the ‘Ozii Ozaa’ lads returned again another higher note after scoring in just a minute by Benjamin Adjei to seal the win to finally end their appalling four-game winless run
In a post-match presser, the Egyptian tactician praised the mentality of his players for the win and described them as warriors
“A lot of congratulations to my players, they are warriors, and they worked so hard, and this is the result. For me, it’s great. It’s been a long time since we could not win away, and today we have done. I hope it will continue like this,” Ahmed Fathy said.
Swedru All Blacks have also gotten themselves back on winning ways and will host Young Apostles next
