Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi has completed a free transfer to Dutch Eredivisie outfit NAC Breda, signing a contract that runs until the end of the season, with an option for an additional year.

Odoi’s arrival sees him reunite with fellow Ghana international Kamal Sowah, rekindling a partnership last seen during the Black Stars’ 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar.

NAC Breda announced the signing in an official statement, emphasising that the veteran full-back has been recruited to provide immediate defensive reinforcement amid a string of injuries within the squad. The club highlighted Odoi’s versatility, leadership, and wealth of top-level experience as key reasons behind the move.

The 37-year-old brings an extensive European résumé, having previously played for Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp in Belgium, as well as Fulham in the English Premier League and Championship.

Earlier in his career, he also featured for KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden, and OH Leuven, following his development in the youth ranks of Anderlecht, Genk, and OH Leuven.
