Swedru All Blacks forward Rudolf Mensah says head coach Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi is reshaping his game as he works to turn him into what he describes as a “hybrid striker”.

Mensah was speaking after All Blacks’ surprise 3–2 victory over Dreams FC at the University of Ghana Stadium — their first away win of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The dependable striker, who fired the club to top-flight promotion with 27 goals in 30 matches last season, opened the scoring in the 16th minute and later collected the Man of the Match award.

Reflecting on his evolving role under Fathi, Mensah said the Egyptian gaffer has been introducing a new tactical dimension to his game.

“When the coach, Ahmed Fathi, came in, he’s [been] trying his best to try and create some different type of football in Ghana,” he said.

“He’s trying to create hybrid players; for me, he’s trying to create a hybrid striker in me. More like I can also be a midfielder, I can be a defender and also be a striker.”

Mensah added that the victory should serve as a springboard for further improvement as All Blacks continue their push to stabilise their form in the top flight.
