Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito insists their title ambitions remain intact despite being held to another draw.
The Porcupine Warriors earned a point in their Matchday 11 clash with FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday. The result leaves Kotoko in fourth place with 20 points — just three behind league leaders Aduana FC.
“Apart from being first, no other position suits Asante Kotoko,” Zito said in his post-match interview.
“We are still chasing, and it is not too late. It only pains me when we draw at home because then I must go and win away to balance the home games.”
Despite the dropped points, Kotoko remain the only unbeaten team in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Reds will aim to return to winning ways when they face Basake Holy Stars in their outstanding fixture on November 26, before hosting Medeama SC in Matchday 12 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
