Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford says a late lapse in concentration cost his side victory after they surrendered a two-goal advantage in a dramatic 2–2 draw with Vision FC.
Lions looked firmly on course for the three points after Michael Ephson struck in the 47th minute, before Paul Atta doubled the lead with a composed finish in the 78th minute.
But Vision FC found a lifeline much earlier than the visitors expected, as Maxwell Sensah pulled one back in the 63rd minute to turn the match on its head.
The Eewo completed their comeback in the 82nd minute through substitute George Tei, whose sharp finish secured a valuable point and left Lions frustrated.

“I think they were off a little, so we got the second goal. Same loss of concentration, the ball was already gone,” Hayford said afterwards.
“I even thought it was gone, then the player just put the ball in, and it went straight into the net, which was very, very unusual. I thought the same. That is football, once again. We have gotten one point away.”
The result leaves Heart of Lions sitting second in the Ghana Premier League with 22 points from 11 games, just a point adrift of leaders Aduana FC. Vision FC, meanwhile, stay in tenth on 14 points, having recorded three victories, five stalemates and three losses so far.
Both teams will aim to bounce back this weekend, as Vision FC travel to Accra to take on Hearts of Oak, while Heart of Lions host Karela United in Matchweek 12.
