Dreams FC climbed out of the relegation zone in emphatic fashion after recording a 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The hosts started on the front foot and were rewarded in the 20th minute when Aminu Adams broke the deadlock, giving Winfred Dormon’s side a deserved 1-0 lead at halftime.
Dreams returned from the break with renewed purpose and doubled their advantage in the 55th minute, as Razak Salifu found the back of the net to put the home fans firmly in control. The pressure continued, and in the 72nd minute, in-form forward Seidu Suraj maintained his scoring run by making it 3-0, effectively putting the contest beyond reach.
Berekum Chelsea managed a late response when Patrick Kofi Ansu pulled one back in the 80th minute, but the goal proved only a consolation as Dreams FC held on comfortably to seal a second consecutive home victory.
The result lifts ‘The Still Believe’ to 12th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 17 points, easing their relegation worries, while Berekum Chelsea slip back into the drop zone.
Chelsea will aim to recover when they host bottom-placed Eleven Wonders in their next fixture, while Dormon will be encouraged by his team’s strong response following last weekend’s defeat to Asante Kotoko. Dreams FC will now look to carry this momentum into a difficult away clash against defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars.
