FC Samartex kept their good form with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in Matchweek 29 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Timber Giants started strongly and scored early in the eighth minute. Forward Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli netted the only goal of the match to give the home side the lead.
Coach Chris Ennin’s team played well from the start, keeping the ball and pressing high as they looked to continue their steady run, with two wins, three draws and two losses in their last seven games.
After going ahead, Samartex stayed organised and controlled the game, making it difficult for Berekum Chelsea to create chances.
However, the Bibires pushed late in the game to try and score, but Samartex’s defence stayed strong to protect their lead.
This result gives Samartex their 11th win of the season, along with 11 draws and seven losses after 29 matches, moving them up to fifth place with 44 points.
Berekum Chelsea, led by coach Samuel Boadu, have now recorded 10 wins, eight draws and 12 losses, dropping to 16th place with 35 points.
