Ten-man FC Samartex held Aduana FC to a thrilling 0-0 draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in GPL match-day 21 to bring blemishes to their league-winning hopes.

The ‘Ogya’ lads got off to impressive starts and pushed more men forward with Prince Otubua and David Awuni all being set up but unfortunately could not make it count.

In the 29th minute, Christian Boateng got Samartex their first chance of the game with a good drive but Prince Osei was equal to the task to rescue the home side.

After the interval, both teams returned on a good note and put up some impressive display but made less goal attempts leaving somehow a boring game in the early stages.

Seidu Saana, who had a brilliant game and adjudged man of the match for his command in midfield came so close to scoring in the 65th minute mark but his shot missed the post by miles.

FC Samartex were reduced to ten men following the red card of Awuah Dramani in the 75th minute. It finished goalless after full-time.

Aduana FC after the draw are currently in third place after the draw with 36 points and will travel to league leaders Medeama SC next.

FC Samartex will also take on Medeama SC in round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.
