Hearts of Oak recorded their first victory of the new season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Dreams FC in a very fascinating game at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Complex in last game of match-day 2.
The ‘Phobians’ after being held by Hohoe United in their first game have made amends with this precious three points to return on winning path while the ‘Still Believers remain winless after two matches.
After missing a good chance in the seventh minute, Hearts of Oak redeemed themselves few moments later after Hussein Mohammed struck into the bottom right corner to put them ahead.
The closest Dreams FC came was in the 34th minute when Ernest had his goal-bound shot went straight at goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.
In the second half, both teams bounced back on a higher note and made some dangerous attempt on themselves but an early goal in the early stages wasn’t produced.
The Still Believe lads pushed harder and attacked with so much purpose but still struggled to level the score as it ended 1-0 in the end.
Hearts of Oak after the victory have ended their winless run against Dreams FC in a- which had stayed since 2022 and will host Eleven Wonders in their next game.
