Hearts of Oak have gotten themselves back on winning path a resounding 0-2 away win over Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in match-day six of the Ghana Premier League.

The visitors got off to a good start but their early chance in the 7th minute missed the post by miles causing a big relief among the home fans.

Berekum Chelsea tried their luck from distance few moments later but Kwesi Badori had his stroke gone wide off the post for a restart.

Injury forced coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani to make an early change in the game taking out Amankwa Baafi to bring in Mawuli Wayo.

In the second half, Berekum Chelsea nearly scored in just eight minutes into recess but Abdul Rahman had his effort cleared away by Kelvin Osei Asibey.

Two minutes later, Hamza Issa came close to scoring with a powerful header which was tipped away brilliantly by goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi but was later flagged up for offside.

Few moments after Hamza Issah struck at Ofori-Antwi, made amends with a close range strike from Paaku’s corner kick to put the ‘Phobians’ ahead in the 64th minute.

The homesters were subsequently reduced to ten men after Eric Ofori Antwi was sent offfor handling the ball outside the box with his position taken by center-back Michael Awuah Mensah.

In the dying embers, Mawuli Wayo pounced on lose clearance after a corner kick was swung in the box to hit in to seal a 2-0 win for the Rainbow Club after full-time.

Berekum Chelsea after the defeat have deepen their woes as they currently find themselves in the relegation zone, 16th precisely with 4 points and will travel to Young Apostles next.

Hearts of Oak have climbed to the second-place with 12 points and will host champions Bibiani GoldStars in the next round of games.
