Bechem United roared back to life in front of their home fans, producing a spirited second-half display to earn a 2–0 victory over Vision FC in their matchweek six Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Second-half goals from Yaw Acheampong and Abdul Alhassan secured all three points for the Hunters, as they capped a spirited display to notch their first victory of the season.

The first half was a tense, tactical affair, with both sides probing cautiously and failing to convert half chances into real threats. Bechem United started brightly through the tireless runs of Foster Sakitey and Dralvin Yeboah, but Vision FC’s defence, led by the experienced Kusi Nana Asante, held firm as he marshalled his defence with authority.

After recess, however, the home side shifted gears. Urged on by their fans, the Hunters persistence paid off in the 67th minute when midfielder Yaw Acheampong pounced on the ball and unleashed a stunning drive beyond goalkeeper Francis Lotsa, sparking wild celebrations inside the Nana Gyeabour Park.

Barely three minutes later, Bechem doubled their lead in emphatic fashion. Defender Abdul Alhassan powered-in the second goal. The strike swung the game decisively in the Hunters favour and left Vision FC chasing shadows for the remainder of the match.

The visitors tried to respond through Evans Akuaku and Abdul Sumaila, but Bechem’s defence stood tall, with Boa-At Regain and Emmanuel Ampiah expertly keeping things tight at the backline.

Bechem United dominated key metrics, enjoying 52% possession, 12 shots, 2 on target, 6 corner kicks, and picking up two yellow cards. Vision FC, on the other hand, managed 48% possession, six shots, but none on target, along with two corners and one yellow card.

The result lifts Bechem United to 13th place on the league table with 5 points, while Vision FC remain in 9th with 8 points after suffering their second defeat of the campaign.
