Medeama SC worked hard to earn a point in a tough but enjoyable 0–0 draw against FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in the Ghana Premier League.
Although no goals were scored, the match was lively and entertaining. Both teams played good football, moving the ball well and keeping fans interested with their passing and tactics.
Medeama, coached by Ibrahim Tanko, had more control of the game at times and looked calm on the ball. However, they struggled to finish their chances, with several shots going over the bar when better accuracy was needed.
FC Samartex, under head coach Christopher Ennin, matched Medeama’s energy and did not sit back. They created a fair number of attempts and tested the Medeama defence, but clear chances were limited in a closely fought encounter.
Medeama’s biggest threat came from the wings, where their attacks caused problems and led to crosses and shots, some of which were on target. Still, Samartex defended well and kept a clean sheet.
In the end, both sides had to be satisfied with a draw. While goals were missing, the game showed good effort and quality. Ibrahim Tanko will be pleased with his team’s discipline and fight as they earned a deserved point away from home.
