Medeama SC nipped on Kofi Babil’s late goal to secure an important 1-2 away win over Eleven Wonders in what was a very exciting match-day 10 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Mauves and Yellows made a very good start to the game despite playing away from home but made few incursions on goal which wasn’t enough to create a goal.

Eleven Wonders were awarded a penalty in the 38th minute but the kick was saved brilliantly by goalkeeper Felix Kyei.

In the 47th minute, Godknows Dzakpasu found the net to open the scoring account for Medeama SC.

Back from recess, Eleven Wonders looked very motivated this time and began to make impactful attack which eventually got the leveller in the 58th minute courtesy Daniel Lomotey.

Medeama SC also not relented and kept on pushing which eventually got them a goal by Nana Kofi Babil to restore their lead in the 79th minute mark.

The ‘Sure Wonders’ threw more men forward in the final ten minutes of the game but all proved futile as it finished 1-2 for Medeama SC after full-time.

Eleven Wonders are still winless this season and are currently at the bottom of the league with just 2 points and will travel next to Hohoe United.

As for Medeama SC, they have moved to 21 points and are in contention to clinch the top-spot. They will face Bechem United next.
