Basake Holy Stars secured a nerve-cracking 1–0 victory over Young Apostles in their Matchweek 26 clash at the AAK II Sports Arena in Ampain on Sunday afternoon.

The Big Holy made a strong start and found the breakthrough early in the game. Midfielder Francis Oteng scored in the 19th minute, finishing calmly to give Basake Holy Stars the lead.

After going ahead, Holy Stars stayed organised and managed the game well. Young Apostles tried to respond and pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but they were unable to break through the home side’s defence.

The match remained tight for the rest of the game, but Oteng’s early goal proved to be enough to secure all three points for the hosts.

The result moves Basake Holy Stars up to 8th place on the league table with 36 points, boosting their push for a strong finish this season.

For Young Apostles, the defeat leaves them in the relegation zone in 17th place with 30 points, increasing the pressure as the season continues.
