Bibiani Goldstars returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Vision FC in their Matchweek 26 clash at Dun’s Park in Bibiani on Sunday afternoon.

The Miners delivered a determined performance, doing just enough to secure all three points and move to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.

Bibiani Goldstars started the match strongly, keeping the ball well as they looked to bounce back from their recent bad results. Their bright start showed clear winning mentality as they put Vision FC under early pressure.

The breakthrough came shortly after the break in the 53rd minute when defender Micheal Nkoah found the back of the net. His goal proved to be the difference in a closely contested game.

After taking the lead, Goldstars focused on staying solid at the back. Vision FC pushed forward in search of an equaliser, especially in the later stages, but the Miners remained organised.

Coach Fritz Markus Schmid will be pleased with his team’s ability to protect their lead, as they held on until the final whistle to secure their 15th win of the season.

The result lifts Goldstars to first place on the league table with 48 points after 26 matches, with a record of 15 wins, three draws, and eight defeats.

For Vision FC, it was a frustrating afternoon despite their late effort to get back into the game. Under coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang, they now have eight wins, ten draws, and eight defeats, sitting 12th on the table with 34 points.

In the end, Bibiani Goldstars’ early control and strong defending made the difference, as they secured an important win in front of their home fans.
