Heart of Lions flexed their attacking muscle in Tema with a ruthless 4-1 dismantling of Eleven Wonders in matchday two clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Former Berekum Chelsea winger Paul Attah Adjei struck first, before new signing Chauncy Freeman netted on his topflight debut.

Teen sensation Ishmael Addo and substitute Macaulley Kojo Kuma added late strikes to complete a resounding win for the Kpando side.

The opening 45 minutes showcased Heart of Lions superior energy and intent. Attah Adjei, once of Sporting Kansas City II, lit up the match with a calm finish in the 23rd minute to set the tone.

However, just two minutes later, 18-year-old Ishmael Addo threaded a clever assist for Freeman, who made no mistake with his debut strike to double the advantage.

While Eleven Wonders created openings of their own, wastefulness in front of goal once again proved costly. The Sure Wonders headed into the break trailing 2-0 and still searching for their first win of the season.

The Lions tightened their grip in the second half, bossing possession with 57% of the ball compared to Eleven Wonders’ 43%. They kept hunting and were rewarded when Addo, who already has an assist to his name, smashed home in the 86th minute to make it 3-0.

Eden Asamoah briefly gave Wonders hope with a 75th-minute strike, but any momentum was quickly snuffed out.

In stoppage time, substitute Kojo Kuma - who was brought on in the 62nd minute - sealed the win with a clinical debut goal, as he was set up by full-back Etse Dogli.

For Eleven Wonders, the result heaps more pressure on head coach Nii Odartey Lamptey after failing to win either of their first two games. The Sure Wonders looked bright in matches but lacked composure and conviction when it mattered.

Heart of Lions, meanwhile, looked well transformed under Bashir Hayford. Their consistent attacking patterns and emerging young talents suggest they could be a force in this season’s Premier League.
