Transformed striker Rauf Munah’s brace was enough to hand Eleven Wonders by a resounding 2-0 over Basake Holy Stars to record their second win of the season.
The ‘Sure Wonders’ are off to a brilliant start to the second round and are hoping build on this same momentum going forward.
Both teams looked somehow dull and boring with both teams not making enough incursions with less quality chances created.
The story turned out to be different however in the second half with the homesters returning on a higher note with two early goals to unsettle their visitors.
Eleven Wonders finally opened the scoring account in the 49th minute courtesy Rauf Munah - who combined beautifully with two of his teammates to struck into bottom corner after a poor delivery from goalkeeper Dubi Kassi Tayi.
Just three minutes later, Munah scored again with a beautiful close range dink after a good cross by Desmond Acheampong from the left.
Eleven Wonders will produce their second victory of the campaign but are still at the foot of the table having moved to nine points and will travel next to Heart of Lions.
Basake Holy Stars after the defeat are most likely to drop in the relegation zone once after this round and will have make amends when they host Bechem United next week.
