Bechem United were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Karela United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in a closely contested Ghana Premier League clash.

The Hunters went into the match aiming to bounce back to winning ways and claim consecutive home victories, but a well-organised Karela side, chasing a fourth straight win, proved difficult to break down.

Both teams struggled to create clear opportunities during a cautious first half, with attacking rhythm lacking in the final third. The tempo increased after the interval, though neither side managed to find the decisive finish.

Karela came closest to scoring when Zakaria Abdulai headed narrowly wide from close range, while goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu produced a crucial save after a defensive lapse by Eric Antwi nearly handed Bechem United the opener.

The hosts were reduced to ten men late in the game after Rasco Abassah London received a red card in the 88th minute. Despite the numerical advantage, ‘The Pride and Passion’ were unable to find a breakthrough as Bechem held on for a point.

The draw leaves Karela United seventh on the table with 35 points, while Bechem United drop to 12th place with 30 points.

Bechem United will next travel to Abrankese to face Nations FC, while Karela United prepare for a home fixture against Asante Kotoko.
