Vision FC will aim to continue their steady start to the 2025–26 Ghana Premier League campaign when they welcome Bibiani Goldstars to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex for a matchday five showdown on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts currently occupy 11th place in the standings with five points from their opening four matches, while the visitors sit eighth with six points, having played one game fewer.
Match Preview
Vision FC began their season with a goalless stalemate against Samartex at Tema Newtown, before falling to a heavy 4–0 defeat in their second outing of the campaign.
However, Nana Kweku Agyemang’s side responded positively, returning to winning ways with a 2–0 home victory over Hohoe United before battling to a 1–1 draw away to Dreams FC last weekend.
The Eewoo Boys have shown glimpses of progress in recent weeks and will look to build on that momentum when they face last season’s champions, Bibiani Goldstars. Encouragingly for Vision FC, the two sides have shared an even record in their previous league encounters, each winning once.
Goldstars, meanwhile, have endured an inconsistent start to life, following the recent arrival of Maxwell Konadu in the dugout. The Miners have claimed two victories in their first five competitive fixtures this term but have also suffered early disappointment in the CAF Champions League, where they conceded seven goals across two matches.
Still, Konadu’s men remain one of the league’s most attack-minded teams, led by the experience of captain Vincent Atingah and the creative spark of midfield trio Francis Twene, Phillip Ofori, and Razack Sanou.
With both teams eager to dish out fire, Saturday’s clash in Accra promises to be an intriguing match that balances ambition against the need to bounce back.
Team News
Vision FC
Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang could be forced into a defensive reshuffle, with centre-back Meshack Adjetey facing a late fitness test after limping off against Dreams FC. Kingsley Appiah is expected to retain his place in midfield, while forward Daniel Yemoh, who scored against Hohoe United, should again lead the attack.
Bibiani Goldstars
Maxwell Konadu is likely to make minor changes to his side following their recent domestic outing. Experienced defender Vincent Atingah is set to marshal the backline, while Emmanuel Kobi continues in goal. Francis Twene is expected to start in midfield, with Samuel Attah Kumi leading the line after netting in Goldstars’ last league victory.
Vision FC possible starting lineup:
Kwame Aziz (GK); Kusi Asante (C), Meshack Adjetey, Labaran Majeed Alidu; Ridwan Ali, Kingsley Appiah, Lord Xorse Kudzinya, Emmanuel Sanja; Abdul Sumaila, Daniel Yemoh, Evans Akuaku.
Bibiani Goldstars possible starting lineup:
Emmanuel Kobi (GK); Emmanuel Adjei, Edward Agyemang, Gideon Anaba, Vincent Atingah (C); Phillip Ofori, Francis Twene, Razack Sanou; Emmanuel Kontor, Samuel Attah Kumi, Michael Nkoah.
We Say: Vision FC 1–2 Bibiani Goldstars
While Vision FC have looked more cohesive in recent weeks, Goldstars possess the attacking inferno and experience to grind out a narrow win.
We expect Francis Twene to open the scoring with a trademark long-range strike before Daniel Yemoh equalises for the hosts early in the second half. However, substitute Samuel Attah Kumi could prove decisive late on, snatching all three points for Maxwell Konadu’s men.
