Aduana FC dazzled back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over AshantiGold in their Matchweek Seven clash at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa on Sunday afternoon.

Defender Abubakar Adams scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute to give the Ogya Boys all three points.

The goal came after Seidu Saana took a free kick from just outside the penalty area. His powerful shot was too difficult for AshantiGold goalkeeper Fatao Seidu to hold, allowing Adams to react quickly to the rebound and score.

The goal gave Aduana the lead before half-time, and they held on to secure the victory.

Aduana enjoyed 54% of the possession, while AshantiGold had 46%.

The Ogya Boys went into the match looking to bounce back after losing 1-0 to regional rivals Young Apostles last Sunday. That defeat ended their three-game winning run.

AshantiGold, meanwhile, failed to build on their 1-0 home win over FC Samartex in Obuasi last Sunday.

Their hopes of getting back into the game suffered another heartbreaking setback when defender Akwasi Afari was sent off in the 87th minute, leaving the Elephants with 10 men.

AshantiGold tried to get back into the game but could not score, as Aduana held on to secure an important home victory.
