Technical Director of Accra Lions FC, Ibrahim Tanko heading into their final season game against Goldstars has set his sights on the three maximum points- a task which will somehow be difficult to accomplish.

The Blue-Blacks since defeating Aduana Stars to somehow end their title dreams, are yet to even earn a point having suffered narrow defeats against Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko in their previous two.

The Lions began the season on a blistering note, even moved to the summit of the league and also stayed too long in the top four but have now dropped to the 13th position in the standing with 44 points and a defeat will be very risky for the capital-based side.

Speaking to StarTimes after their game against Kotoko, the ex- Black Stars assistant coach says he is very proud with the output of his charges and will play their hearts out in their final game to secure survival.

"I am proud of the boys with their performance, we still have a chance, we have one match to go. We have a very young team, we keep saying it."

“And like I like I said, we still have one game and the performance have been very good and and the last four games the performance was very good."

“So we are going to do our homework well and go and play Gold Stars and hopefully we get our points from there.”

Accra Lions will travel to the Dun's Park to face Bibiani Goldstars at 1500GMT on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
