Abednego Tetteh, the striker for Bibiani Goldstars, is not considering a return to Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak due to a strong warning from his wife.
After enduring a difficult period with Hearts of Oak, the 32-year-old had his contract terminated in August 2021 after 15 months with the club.
Tetteh, who joined Bibiani Goldstars in January following an unsuccessful stint with King Faisal, has become a crucial player for his current team. He is currently leading the goal-scoring charts with 18 goals as the Ghana Premier League season nears its end.
The 2016 FA Cup winner recently credited his wife for helping him rediscover his form, and he has now revealed that his wife would divorce him if he were to rejoin Hearts of Oak.
In an interview with Television CK, he stated, "My wife will divorce me if I rejoin Hearts of Oak."
With one game remaining in the season, Tetteh is likely to secure the Golden Boot award.
There are reports suggesting that the former Bechem United striker could leave Goldstars at the end of the season, with Asante Kotoko being mentioned as a potential destination in Kumasi.
