Accra Lions FC have bolstered their squad with the signing of attacking midfielder George Paaku ahead of the new season.
The 20-year-old joins the Accra-based club from their partner club Koowa Naso United. Paaku is expected to make a significant impact this season, filling the void left by departed players Faris Tahiru, Dominic Amponsah, and Yahaya Mohammed.
Announcing the deal on X (formerly Twitter), the club stated, “Accra Lions Football Club has signed George Paaku with immediate effect. The gifted attacking midfielder joins us from our partner club Koowa Naso United.”
Accra Lions, who finished as runners-up last season, will kick off their campaign with an away match against Medeama SC in Tarkwa. The new Ghana Premier League season begins next weekend, and Paaku will be looking to make his mark.
