Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has lauded his players for their discipline and tactical execution following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Heart of Lions in Matchday 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
The two-time champions claimed all three points at the Kpando Sports Stadium thanks to Patrick Mensah’s decisive strike.
The result on Friday has, however, ended Heart of Lions’ unbeaten home run and lifted the ‘Ogya’ lads to the top of the table.
Speaking after the game, the Romanian coach said his players were rewarded for sticking to the game plan.
“I see the confidence from the players, and I told them that if we respect the tactics, we can pick all three points,” Aristica said. “Congratulations to the players for trusting the plan and going on to win the game.”
He also highlighted the collective effort that underpinned the victory.
“Aduana FC, the team is working as a group, and they understand what we need in the game. I’m happy about this win. The game was very tactical, and it was very good,” he added.
The result moves Aduana FC temporarily to the summit of the league with 27 points from 14 matches, one ahead of Medeama, who still have a game in hand.
Aristica will now turn his attention to maintaining the club’s spark when Aduana host Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in their Matchday 15 fixture this weekend.
