Aduana FC have been fined GHS 10,000 by the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee following misconduct related to their Ghana Premier League match-week 2 fixture against Medeama SC.
The Dormaa-based club was found guilty of making social media comments that brought the game into disrepute, which violates the league’s regulations.
The post read; “90+2’ - Stoppage-time drama! The referee gives Medeama a penalty, leaving fans shocked — Valentine’s Day gift for the home side!”
According to the decision of the Disciplinary Committee, Aduana FC are required to pay the fine within fourteen (14) days after receiving official notification of the ruling.
In addition to the financial sanction, the club has also received a formal warning from the football governing body regarding their conduct.
The GFA stated that the warning serves as a reminder for the club to adhere to the league’s regulations and maintain professionalism in their public communications.
The committee further cautioned that any future misconduct could attract harsher sanctions if similar incidents occur again
