Ibrahim Tanko, head coach of Medeama SC, has called an emergency meeting with his players following a disappointing 2–1 home defeat to Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The loss marked Medeama’s second in their last five league matches and extended a troubling winless streak in the division. Tanko expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude of some squad members and said he needed to address the issue.
“We have to put it in our back because we still have nine games to play. I think I have to meet with the players and then see the way forward,” Tanko told journalists after the match.
“I’m not happy with some of their attitude. We have to look at our game and talk about it and concentrate on the next game.”
Despite the poor run, Medeama SC remain top of the league standings with 46 points, but pressure is mounting ahead of their next fixture against Dreams FC on March 22.
