Berekum Chelsea skipper, Jonah Attuquaye has expressed frustration following their embarrassing 3-1 defeat away at Vision FC in match-week 25 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Bibires endured a difficult afternoon away from home as Vision FC produced a strong second-half performance to turn the game around and secure all three points.
Setsofia Aqetey scored twice for the home side, while Ibrahim Larbi added another to give the Tema-based club a comfortable lead.
Chelsea managed to pull one back late in the game through Vincent Klu Adjei, but the goal came too late to change the outcome of the match.
Speaking after the game, Attuquaye admitted the defeat was disappointing and called on his teammates to improve in their upcoming matches.
“We did well in the first half, even taking the lead, but we couldn’t maintain it and ended up losing. This result is tough for me and the entire team. We’ve lost, so we need to correct our mistakes and push further up the league table. Our current position is not good.”
The defeat leaves Berekum Chelsea struggling in the standings as they aim to move away from the lower end of the table.
They will now shift their focus to their next league fixture against Karela United at the Golden City Park
