Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has admitted his side performed poorly in their defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.

The Fire club lost 1-0 away on Sunday in their Matchweek 28 fixture, in a result that has affected their position in the table.

Speaking after the match, Aristica said his team did not meet expectations and accepted that their opponents deserved the win.

“We tried, but you know, Berekum Chelsea is a relegation team, and they are also fighting. It was a very bad game for my team. We had only one shot in 90 minutes, and it’s not good for the team,” he said.

He also praised Berekum Chelsea for their effort, saying they showed more desire on the day.

The defeat sees Aduana FC drop to fifth place in the league standings, now nine points behind leaders Bibiani Goldstars with six matches left this season.

Aduana FC will next face a tough test as they prepare to host Bibiani Goldstars in their Matchweek 29 fixture.
