Nations FC centre-back Samuel Osei Kuffuor is reportedly in Dormaa as he moves closer to completing a transfer to Aduana FC, with discussions between the two clubs understood to be at an advanced stage.

The highly-rated defender is poised to join the two-time Ghana Premier League champions as they seek to reinforce their squad ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Kuffuor’s expected arrival is viewed as a strategic defensive acquisition by Aduana FC, who are eager to tighten their backline as the league campaign intensifies. His calmness in possession, positional awareness and leadership qualities have made him one of the most dependable defenders in the domestic league.

During Nations FC’s impressive run last season, Kuffuor played a pivotal role at the heart of defence, earning plaudits for his consistency and organisational skills. Those attributes are believed to be highly admired by Aduana FC head coach Aristică Cioabă, who is keen to add experience and authority to his defensive unit.

For Nations FC, the possible exit of Kuffuor would represent a significant loss, but it also highlights the club’s growing reputation as a platform for developing players capable of attracting interest from Ghana’s established sides.

While details of the transfer fee and contract duration remain undisclosed, sources indicate negotiations are nearing completion. Should the deal be finalised, Kuffuor is expected to be registered in time to feature in Aduana FC’s upcoming league fixtures, making the move one of the standout domestic transfers of the January window.
