Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has voiced his optimism regarding the club's promising direction under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The Porcupine Warriors have made a strong start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, amassing 11 points from their first five matches, with one game still to be played.
Reflecting on the team's performance, Agyemang-Badu praised the club's management for their effective player recruitment, which he believes has set them on the right path.
“I watched Asante Kotoko play against Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup and was impressed by their recruitment. I also attended the match against Chelsea in Berekum, where they performed well,” he stated in an interview with Kumasi-based Promise FM.
He emphasized the team's undefeated status after five games, expressing confidence in their potential for continued success. “Asante Kotoko is on a good path under Prosper Narteh Ogum, and I am confident they can achieve even more as the season unfolds,” he added.
This weekend, Asante Kotoko will face defending champions FC Samartex at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in their Matchday seven fixture, aiming to maintain their positive momentum in the league.
